A budgeting app built for freelance income

Most budgeting apps assume one salary on one day. Freelance income arrives in invoices, retainers, and gaps. Worth Clarity measures how yours actually behaves and plans on the conservative number.

The problem

What usually goes wrong, and what changes

  • 1

A good month hides the slow one behind it

Averaging income overstates what you can commit to. Worth Clarity shows your typical month and a plan-on figure that one month in four lands below, so bills and savings are sized to the low end.

  • 2

Invoices you are owed are not cash you have

Payouts and expected payments with dates join the 90-day forecast as scheduled inflows. Overdue ones stay out because they are uncertain, so the forecast never flatters you.

  • 3

Tax and irregular bills ambush the quarter

Yearly and quarterly bills become sinking funds spread into monthly set-asides, with a catch-up pace when a due date is close.

Getting started

Four steps to a clear picture

  1. 1.Sign in with Google and enter today's cash balance.

  2. 2.Add your retainers as recurring income and your fixed bills as rules.

  3. 3.Log invoices as they land. After three months the plan-on figure appears.

  4. 4.Size budgets and savings against the plan-on number, not the average.

Questions

Questions freelancers ask

How does Worth Clarity handle months with no income?
Zero-income months inside your tracking window count as real data, which pulls the plan-on figure down honestly. Months before you started tracking are ignored so the measurement is never diluted by blanks.
Can it track money clients still owe me?
Yes. Payouts and sponsorships have an expected date and an amount. Pending ones join the 90-day forecast, and marking one received logs the income transaction and links it so it can never be logged twice.
Does it separate business and personal spending?
Categories are yours to define, and tags plus split payments let one purchase carry several parts. Many freelancers keep business categories alongside personal ones and filter the report by tag.
What about taxes?
Worth Clarity does not file taxes. It does make setting money aside painless: create a yearly or quarterly tax bill as a rule and the sinking-funds card tells you the monthly amount to reserve.
